How Booking Works

Effective August 2026

ShowUp plans your trip and lets you book select hotels at a member’s rate right inside the app. Here’s exactly how that works — who charges you, what the rate types mean, and how cancellations and refunds are handled — in plain English, before you ever pay.

Who you’re actually booking with

In-app hotel stays are provided and sold by our licensed booking partner, Nuitée (“LiteAPI”), who is the merchant of record for the stay. ShowUp is a planning tool, not a travel agency — we don’t charge you for the booking and we never see or store your card. Your card is charged securely by Nuitée’s payment processor at the moment you book.

What you pay, and when

The price you see at checkout is the full price — it includes all taxes and fees, with nothing added later. Because prices and availability change, we re-check the exact rate the instant before you confirm, so what you approve is what you pay. On successful payment your stay is confirmed instantly and a confirmation with your booking reference is emailed to you.

Prices shown earlier, while you’re still planning, are estimates. You always see the live, final price at checkout before paying.

Refundable vs non-refundable rates

Every hotel rate is one of two types, and we label which one you’re looking at before you book:

Refundable (free cancellation). You can cancel up to a specific deadline shown on that rate and get a full refund. After the deadline, the rate’s cancellation terms apply. We show the exact deadline so you know your window.

Non-refundable. These rates are usually cheaper, but if you cancel — or don’t show up — you are not refunded. We flag non-refundable rates clearly and, where a refundable option exists for the same stay, we point you to it so you can choose.

In both cases the rate’s exact cancellation policy is shown before you pay and is included again in your confirmation email — so it’s never a surprise.

Changing or cancelling a stay

Cancellations, changes, and refunds are handled by Nuitée under the rate’s policy and the property’s rules. If your rate is refundable and you cancel within the free-cancellation window, your refund is approved and returned to your original payment method — typically within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. ShowUp doesn’t set, control, or process these policies or refunds, but we’ll gladly help you reach the provider.

Support

Nuitée provides 24/7 support for booking issues and anything that comes up during your stay. You can also always start with us at info@justshow-up.com and we’ll help connect you — though the booking, payment, and any dispute are between you and Nuitée under their terms.
